William (Bill) Brower Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Campbell Brower on Christmas morning, December 25, 2024. Bill departed this world in the peace of his sleep, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love that will resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.

 

Born into a life that epitomized generosity, Bill was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back and was a devoted Christian. He graduated with pride from Tri High School in 1979 and continued his education at Ohio State ATI, ultimately pursuing further studies at the main campus.

 

With unwavering connection to nature, Bill dedicated his life to the landscape nursery established by his family, Gaar Nursery in Cambridge City, Indiana. It was here that he found joy in nurturing the earth and crafting beauty, transforming landscapes with his passion and expertise. He went on to establish his own business in the landscape field industriously caring for plants of all types.

 

Bill’s innovative spirit led him to create a patented organic product that he treasured, showcasing his commitment to sustainable practices and furthering his impact on the environment. His contributions to the field were a testament to his vision and dedication.

 

Bill is preceded in death by his beloved brother David Brower, along with cherished grandparents and aunts and uncles who shaped his life. Their memories live on in the love he shared with his family and friends.

 

They included his grandparents Aletha Evelyn Gaar Brower, Campbell Seward Brower, Ruth Fern McNeill, Evan McNeill and his aunts Aletha Brower Foster, Joyce Brower, his uncle Jim Brower and Neil McNeill, along with his much-loved cousin Steve McNeill.

 

Surviving members included are his beloved and devoted parents Rodney (Tischa) Brower and Anne Brower. His sisters Cheryl Stackhouse and her husband Scott, and Laurie Brattain and her husband Frank, along with his aunt Charlene McNeill. His cousins include Linda Wilson and her husband Doug, Craig McNeill and his wife Jodi, Ken Foster and his wife Cheryl, Kris Siemsen and her husband Tim, Johnny Foster and his wife Linda, Mike Brower and his wife April, Valorie Cutler and her husband Brian, Steve Brower and his wife Linda. He also has niece Catherine Brattain and her future husband Zackary Delisle and Kevin Brattain and finally his grandniece Juliette Delisle.

 

A funeral service will be held at Waskom Capital Hill Chapel, located at 1010 East Main Street, Cambridge City, Indiana 47327. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM on December 30th, 2024. a private graveside service will be held for immediate family only following the funeral.

 

As we celebrate Bill’s life, we invite you all who knew him to remember the light he brought into the world. His kind spirit and unwavering love will forever be cherished by everyone fortunate enough to have walked alongside him. We know you are in better hand; you will be dearly missed.
