William Widau Obituary

William “Bill” Widau, 64, of Milton passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond.

 

He was born on October 11, 1949 in New Castle to Marvin E. and Marge Waugh Widau.

He was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School and had attended Vincennes College. Bill worked as a diesel mechanic running the garage for John Miller in Cambridge City until John sold out. He then went to the city of Richmond and ran the garage for the street department until retiring due to health. He enjoyed working on and playing with his tractors. He ran the tractor shows for Canal Days and Milton Days. He was a member of Milton Masconic Lodge #108 and American Legion Post #169.

 

Survivors include his wife of 25 years Sharon Widau; 2 daughters LouAnn Baldwinson and Becky (Neil) Silvester; 4 step-children Jackie Ellison, Krissy Teeguarden, Bobby (Connie) Teeguarden and Greg Teeguarden; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Neuman; 2 brothers Rex and Steve (Katie) Widau; 2 sister-in-laws Penny (Butch) Bogue and Terry Corn; a brother-in-law Jim Willis; special father-in-law Norman Miike; many nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Rick; and mother-in-law Betty Miike.

 

Friends may gather at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 10:00 AM until start of services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in West Side Cemtery in Milton. Rev. Tom Cici and Chaplain Fuzzy Lake will be officiating. Milton Masonic Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 12:50 pm.
