William R. Usher, 76, of Milton, IN passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on October 7, 1942 in Centerville, IN to Everett R. and Vera Williams Usher. He had served in the US Army in Vietnam and was a machinist working for MEG in Cambridge City.
Bill was a member of Brownsville Lodge F&AM #70, Connersville Commandry #6 Knights Templar, Connerville York Rite, Scottish Rite Valley of Indy, Murat Shrine Indy, past Commander of American Legion Post 122 Liberty and a member of Lawrence H. Bertsch American Legion Post #169 of Cambridge City. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and working on cars.
Survivors include his wife Betty L. Stevens Usher; daughter Charity (Brian) Usher-Nash; stepson Chris (Kim) Cooksey and stepdaughter Dixie (Richard) Hendrickson; 4 grandchildren Logan Usher, McKenzie, Caitlin, and Damian Nash; brother Richard Stevens and sister Brenda Dunn; nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Mark Cross, sister Losha Barrett and stepdaughter Susan Stevens
Masonic Service at 7:45 pm on Friday at Waskom's
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 st Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Burial will follow in Westside Cemetery in Milton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm.
