Wilbert Cochran Obituary

Wilbert “Bill” Lee Cochran, 71, of Cambridge City, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Reid Hospital in Richmond.

 

He was born on January 28, 1945 in Liberty, Kentucky to Robert W. and Nancy E. Long Cochran and had lived most of his life in the Cambridge City area.

 

Bill had attended Franklin H.S. In Franklin, IN. He had worked at D&M for 29 years and was owner of Bill Cochran's Fencing in Cambridge City which he owned for 25 years. Bill

enjoyed hunting, fishing and spent many hours hunting golf balls with his grandchildren.

 

Survivors include his wife of 40 years Rose “Leann” Heck Cochran; children Bill (Wanetta) Cochran of Greenfield, Terri (Butch Cregar) Briscoe of Connersville, Jennifer (Erick) Garrison of Connersville and Jeanette Hensley of Milton; grandchildren Matthew and Jacob Cochran, Luke and Keegan Garrison, Ashley and Matthew Prifogle and Alisha Briscoe; great-granddaughter Josephine Prifogle; siblings Thomas “Lewis” (Rose) Cochran, Dorothy (Arvil) Kirby, Patsy Davis (Tommy deceased), Roberta Cox (Coy deceased), Georgia Burton, Bobby J. (Sandra) Cochran, Jim D. (Donna) Cochran, Tim F. Cochran and John M. Cochran; nieces and nephews.

 

Beside his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a brother Robert M. Cochran.

 

Friends may call at Waskoms Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge from 11:00 am until start of services at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 11, 2016. Burial will follow in Valley Grove Cemetery. Pastor Rick Alvey will be officiating.
