Wesley R. Merida

Wesley R. Merida-49 passed away at his home early on Thursday morning, November 16, 2017.

Born February 1, 1968 in Woodstock, IL to Marilyn and the late Rudy Merida.

Wes grew up in Pershing, IN and graduated from Lincoln High School then went on to attend the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima for diesel mechanics.

Wes worked as a diesel mechanic, in construction and factory maintenance.

Wes enjoyed being outdoors and listening to music. He was kind hearted and honest to a fault. He found the good in all situations.

Survivors include a son Wesley R Merida II (Courtney) step-grandaughter Gabby and granddaughters Olivia and Elaina; his former wife Shelly Bogue Ervin and step-daughter Heather Reece Issacs and family; his mother Marilyn Merida; siblings Lee Ann (Rob) Bohlander and Derek (Nanette) Merida; nieces and nephews.

Wes was proceeded in death by his father Rudy Merida.

Friends may call at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, IN on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 11:00 am until start of services at 1:00 PM. Danny Berry will be officiating and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
