Victoria L. "Vickie" (Christensen) Brand

Victoria “Vickie” Brand; wife, mother, grandmother, musician, caregiver, passed from this world surrounded by family after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born with a generous and adventurous spirit on the 18th of October, 1953 to Wave and Pattie Christensen, Vickie built a life centered around family. She married the love of her life, Kerry, in 1981, and together they shared 28 years of marriage, music, laughter, trials, and devotion before his passing in 2009.

Together they raised their children, Adrian and Erin, and over the years Vickie’s love continued expanding to embrace a growing family that included grandchildren, extended family, and friends who became family by choice and affection.

Known affectionately as “Goggy,” she was remembered for her humor, handwritten notes, inventive spirit, endless explanations, fierce care for others, and the warmth she brought into everyday life. Whether through music, laughter, hospitality, or perseverance through hardship, she made room for people.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother, and her husband, Kerry.

Surviving her are Adrian (Shaylynn), Erin Melerowicz (Chad); Grandchildren, Jaylan, Andi, Kerry II, and Nathaniel Melerowicz, & Persephone, Penelope and Cassandra Brand; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She was deeply loved and she will be deeply missed.

Friends may call from 1 PM until the start of the funeral service at 3 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, Indiana.
