Shirley Janice (Fowler) Farr

Shirley Janice Farr. 80, formerly of Greens Fork passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Flat Rock River Lodge in Rushville where she had lived the last few years.

She was born on January 9, 1937 in Connersville to Isaac and Minnie Freeman Fowler and had lived most of her life in the Wayne County area. Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Milton High School and had worked as a beautician. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Richmond.

Survivors include a daughter Rhonda (Steve) Butler; 4 step-children Charles (Michele) Farr, Linda Leath, Debbie (Barry) Mosier and Deanna (Walter) Heaston; 2 granddaughters Lauren (Ross) Newhouse and Lexis (Dan) Ryan; 2 great-grandchildren Josie and Eli Newhouse; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Robert Farr.

Friends may gather from 11:00 am until start of services at 12:30 pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Greens Fork. Rev. Marty Holman will be officiating.
