Sarah May (Snider) Addison

Sarah May Addison, 84, of Cambridge City passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Reid Health. She was born on February 26, 1936 in Muncie, IN to Merrill F. and Ethel (Mason) Snider.

Sarah graduated from Muncie Central High School and Ball State University.

Sarah served as the head librarian for the Cambridge City Public Library for almost 20 years from the mid-1970’s to the early 1990’s. She ably assisted many in the community with their research and reading needs. She was an avid fiction reader, and while she had her vision, a prolific sewer and crafter. Sarah was married to the love of her life, George W. Addison, for 52 years.

Sarah is survived by her children, Von W. Addison, Eric R. (Lisa) Addison and Susan Marie (Lorin) Phillips; a sister, Marianna Dillie; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Addison, who passed away on April 17, 2010.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 7:00 PM at  Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel.
