Roxanna Jill Stomm

Roxanna Jill Stomm, 61, passed away June 1, 2025, surrounded by family. She struggled with various illnesses, including cancer, for many years, however, she was determined to stay with her family for as long as possible. She was born January 1, 1964, in New Castle and raised in Modoc, where she graduated from Union School Corporation in 1983. Roxanna worked at Kabert Industries for many years before becoming a full-time babysitter for her beloved grandson, JJ.

Roxanna was kind, big-hearted, and deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed being outdoors, watching ball games, vacationing with loved ones, and especially spoiling her grandson. She was most often found with her children and grandson, always wearing a smile. Her family and friends will most remember her teasing, jokes, unwavering work ethic, generous smile, and willingness to help no matter the time of day.

Roxanna leaves behind her three children: Monica (Jason) Powell, Ashley Nunley, and Nathan Stomm; grandsons Carter Powell and James ‘JJ’ Marshall; father Joseph Nunley; siblings: Lorri (Jerry) York, Peggy (Bill) Groce, and William ‘Pete’ Nunley; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Stomm; mother, Hazel Nunley; mother-in-law, Jean Stomm; and father-in-law, Earl Stomm.

Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again. Roxanna was beloved by so many and will be truly missed. We love you!

Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00PM on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Services will follow at 6:00 PM officiated by Pastor Paul Davis.
