Ronald E. Moistner, 71, of Cambridge City, passed away at home on Sunday, October 25, 2015. He was born on July 18, 1944 to Harold and Jeanne A. (Cox) Moistner in Winchester, Indiana. Ron grew up in Cambridge City and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. He retired after 30 years as a machinist for Dana Corporation. Ron enjoyed photography, hunting, fishing, watching his children's ballgames and his grandchildren were the love of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie M. (Turner) Moistner, whom he married on December 1, 1966; 4 children, Keith (Ellen) Moistner, Clayton (Cyndi) Moistner, Craig Moistner and Krista (Jerry) Burdette; 3 granddaughters, Skylar, Jessica and Madison Burdette; his father, Harold and a sister, Nola J. (Michael) Geise. Ron was preceded in death by his mother.
Family and friends will gather to remember Ron from 2:00 pm. until the start of the memorial service at 4:00 pm. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Pastor James Slaven will officiate.
Ron had a heart transplant on August 1, 1994 at St. Vincent Hospital, after his transplant he began walking every morning and evening for over 19 years.
