Rebecca Jones Obituary

Rebecca Jane Knose Jones, 63, of Centerville, was surrounded by her family when she passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Reid Health, She was born on September 30, 1957 to Kenneth L Knose, Sr. and Louise (Teffeteller) Knose and lived in this area her entire life.

 

Becky was a dedicated mother. She treasured her only son, Michael Keith. She embraced every moment with him. She held many jobs but her most loved work was at home caring for her family. Above everything, Becky devoted her time and energy to Michael’s care & well being. She was a gifted cook and gardener. She also loved country music & people. Becky made friends anywhere she went. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making people feel happy. She especially loved all her nieces and nephews. It was always fun at Aunt Becky’s house! Becky was a member of Vintage Wheels Car Club; it was an organization near and dear to her heart.

 

Her survivors include longtime boyfriend Tony Atkins, sisters, Kathy (Tim) Gibbs, Robin (Tim York) Moffitt and Louise (David) Castle; nieces & nephews; Darla Paul, Cindy Knox, Melisa Gibbs, Michelle Lahmon, Jonathan & Angie Hensley and many more special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny K. Jones in 2006; her son Michael Keith Knose Jones in 2001; and siblings, Susan Brockman, Kenneth Knose, Jr., Mabel Monaghan, Karen Compton and Lisa Brockman; close friends, Dorothy and Herschel Harrison. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or help someone in need as Becky did many times throughout her life.

 

Graveside services were held at Lutherania Cemetery in Richmond on Friday December 18, 2020.

 

A celebration of life will be announced by the family after Covid restrictions end.
