Ralph E. Cox, 85, of Centerville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2014 with his wife and family at his side. He was born on November 1, 1928 in Abington Twp. to Charles R. and Gertrude Mae (Cain) Cox. Ralph was a 1946 graduate of Milton High School and had lived in Centerville for 53 years.
Ralph retired from Ford Visteon in Connersville in 1990 where he was a truck driver for 40 years. He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edna L. (Dance) Cox: a daughter Deborah Lou Cox; a son, Daniel R. Cox; 2 grandchildren Bradley (Amy) Cox and Chad (Cathy) Cox; 4 great-grandchildren Hampton, Caden, Cate and Molly; siblings Bob (Jeanne) Cox, Ward (Nancy) Cox, Betty Darrah, Alma McClurg, Helen Smith and Keith (Pam) Cox; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 4 brothers Francis, Wilbur, Wade and Don.
There will be a celebration of life on July 5, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Ralph and Edna's home.
Arrangements are entrusted to Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wayne County 4-H Fair for livestock or Cope Environmental.
