Phyllis Anne (Lawrence) Doyle

Phyllis A. Doyle, 83, of Connersville, passed away on Thursday September 9, 2021 at Majestic Care of Connersville. She was born on April 16, 1938 in Cambridge City to Clarence and Hazel (Brooks) Lawrence and lived her whole life in this area.

Phyllis worked for over 40 years in nursing homes and hotels doing housekeeping. She was the housekeeping supervisor at the Holiday Inn in Connersville for 17 years and she worked for 6 years as executive housekeeper at the Hampton Inn before retiring in 2008. Phyllis was a member of 1st Baptist Church in Cambridge City.

Survivors include her son, James L. Doyle; grandchildren – Airiana, Sarah and Lucas; four great-grandsons; 2 sisters – Carolyn Hayes and Lorinda Ripberger; 2 brothers – Clarence E and Robert Lawrence; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Lee Doyle on June 11, 1990; 3 grandchildren – Delaina, Shawn and Steven; 2 sisters - Betty Purvis and Mary Jane Brown and a brother Joseph Lawrence.

Friends may call from 10:30 AM until the start of the funeral service at 12:30 PM on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
