Phillip A. Mullen II, age 53, of Richmond, passed away unexpectantly in Laredo, Texas on Monday, July 21, 2014. He was born on October 29, 1960 in Jacksonville, N.C., to Phillip and Dorothea (Moffitt) Mullen. He lived most of his life in this area and attended Richmond Schools. Phillip left school early to join the U.S. Army. He served his country for eight years, including being stationed in Germany and was a combat engineer. Phillip was working as a yard supervisor for Unimark Transport in Springfield, Ohio. He enjoyed drawing and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Vicki (Hollibaugh) Mullen; three daughters, Hollie, Lindsey and Carli Mullen; six grandchildren; four sisters, Diana (Don) Clay, Cindy (Mike) Smith, Kim (Eddie) Carlton and Barbara (Kevin) Kimmenau; two brothers, Michael and John (Lisa) Mullen and many nieces and nephews.
Phillip was preceded in death by an infant brother, Sean.
Friends may call from 10:00 am until the start of the funeral service at 12:00 noon on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Fr. Joseph Rautenberg will be officiating and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
