Phillip Mullen Obituary

Phillip A. Mullen, 79, of Richmond passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his residence.

 

He was born on June 14, 1937 in Cambridge City to Floyd and Frances Alford Mullen.

After his father passed away he was raised by his mom and step-father Charles Patrick

 

After attending Lincoln High School he served 3 enlistments in the USMC and retired after 19 years. After service he was employed in production at Miller Dairy in Cambridge City. He was a former member of Marine Corp League, AmVets, American Legion Post 65 in Richmond and the VFW,

 

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Dorothea L. (Moffitt) Mullen; daughters Diana Clay, Cindy (Mike) Smith, Kim (Eddie) Carlton and Barbara (Kevin) Kimminau; sons Michael (Carlene) Mullen and John (Lisa) Mullen; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgrandson.

 

He was preceded in death by 2 sons Sean E. and Phillip A. Mullen II; his parents; and seven siblings.

 

Friends may gather on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 11:00am until start of services at 1:00pm at Waskom Captiol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City with Father John Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City where there will be military graveside services.
