Pauline K "Polly" (Starry) Gambill

Pauline “Polly” Gambill, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at her home. She was born on January 13, 1936 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Henry and Mary (Christian) Starry. Polly graduated form Twin Falls H.S. and on November 1, 1953 she married Bert Gambill, Jr. in Elco, Nevada. Bert served over 22 years in the US Air Force, so they moved many times and a year after he retired 1972, they settled in Cambridge City, Bert went to work at MEG and together they raised their family of three children, Teresa, Alan and Kenneth.

Polly is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Kevin) Wickes; seven grandchildren, Jerron (Laura), Joshua (Yukari), Shawn (Taylor), A.J. (Elaine), Tammy Ann (Bill), Lewie (Becky) and Robin; ten great grandchildren, Kenneth, Cai, Gracie, Morgan, Logan, Gavin, Garret, Emma, Sara and Taylor; a sister, Peggy Jones; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bert Gambill, Jr. on November 12, 2006 and her sons, Kenneth and Alan Gambill; sisters, Billie Thornquest and Juanita Frey.

Friends may call from 10 AM until the start of the Funeral service at Noon on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel and interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, both in Cambridge City, Indiana.
