Paul Edward Collins

Paul E. Collins, 88, of Cambridge City passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, IN.

He was born on July 25, 1927 in Preble County, OH to James R. and Frilla Mae Wirts Collins and had lived most of his life in Cambridge City.

After graduation from New Paris High School in 1945 Paul served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Leroy Tout American Legion Post in Dublin. He then worked for Cambridge City Corporation as a superintendent of the sewage treatment plant retiring in 1990. He enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elnora Collins; children Curt (Donna) Collins and Pam (Mike) Fowler; grandchildren Megan Fowler and Sean and Courtney Collins; greatgrandson Liam Collins; sister in-law Cosetta Collins; nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.

Friends may call at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 10:00 am until start of services at 11:00 am. Danny Barry will be officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
