Michael R. Wilson

Michael R. Wilson, 71, of Centerville, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Ambassador Health Care. He was born on January 29, 1951 in New Castle to Grover R. and Kathleen V. (Kinnaman) Wilson and lived most of his life in this area.

He was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School and received his Bachelors degree from Ball State University. Mike had worked as the Director of Public Relations at Wernle Children’s Home in Richmond. Following his passion for music he worked for many years as a Brass Instructor and Show Designer at several high schools, including Winchester, Centerville, Hagerstown, Anderson and Angola. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Richmond. In addition to music, Mike was an avid sports fan, but he especially loved Indiana University teams.

Mike is survived by his son, Brad Wilson; a brother David Wilson and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
