Mary M (Huddleston) Rhodus

Mary M. Rhodus, age 73, of Cambridge City, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond. She was born on May 18, 1942 in San Francisco to Howard and Marie (Moore) Huddleston, but she lived most of her life in Wayne County. Mary was of the Christian faith. She attended Lincoln H. S., worked for over 19 years as a CNA at Friends Fellowship and then as a receptionist for over 10 years at the Golay Community Center.

Mary is survived by four children, Julie (John) Owens, Lora Lane, David Rhodus and Heidi Rhodus; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings, Richard, Howard and Norman Huddleston, Dorothy Centers, Beulah Rogers and Debbie Gorman; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Walter E. Rhodus on Jan. 15, 2008; a brother, Terry and two sisters, Edith Henderson and Wanda Taylor.

Friends may call from 10 AM until the start of the funeral service 12 noon on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Western Wayne Senior Center, 1007 E. Main St., Cambridge City, IN 47327.
