Marjorie J (Powell) Stant

Marjorie J. Stant, age 91, of New Castle, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Fayette County on May 6, 1923 to Arthur and Bernice (Passmore) Powell and lived her entire life in this area. Marjorie was a 1941 graduate of Bentonville H.S. and a graduate of New Castle Business College. She worked for McQuay Norris in Connersville for 5 years and was a secretary for Ford Motor Co. for over 30 years. Marjorie was a member of Centerville Christian Church.

Marjorie is survived by three sisters, Martha Powell, Mary Westover and Betty Sickels; three brothers, Eugene (Donna), Leland and Richard (Marsha) Powell; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may gather on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the start of services at 11:00 AM at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Danny Berry will be officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
