Margaret Frances (May) Jordan

Margaret Frances Jordan, 103, of Cambridge City, passed away on Sunday November 23, 2025 at her home. She was born on September 22, 1922 in Orange, Indiana to Jesse L. and Emma (Geise) May.

Fran was a 1940 graduate of Orange High School in Fayette County. She married her husband Kenneth “Briz” Jordan in 1946. She was a member of Zion’s Lutheran Church for over 40 years, a member of the Western Wayne Senior Center who delivered meals for over 20 years, regularly and exercised at the Golay Community Center for over 40 years. Fran enjoyed playing euchre, bowling, golf, cooking and gardening.

Fran is survived by her children, Mike Jordan, Marcia (Joe) Norman and Marlene Sweet; grandchildren, Michael Jordan, Jr. and Michelle (Lee) Unger; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth “Briz” Jordan; her twin brother Robert May and her sister, Pauline Mains.

Friends may call from 10 AM until the start of her funeral at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Zion’s Lutheran Church in Pershing. Internment will follow at Zion’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Zion’s Lutheran Church, The Golay Community Center or the Western Wayne Food Pantry.
