Margaret Briar Obituary
Margaret Ellen Wissler Briar, age 94, formerly of Cambridge City passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville, IN. She was born on June 24, 1916 in Wayne County, IN to Alvin P. and Mae Dilling Wissler and had lived in Fayette County, Cambridge City and Shelbyville before going to Rushville. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Cambridge City. She was a member of Nettle Creek Church of the Brethren in Hagerstown and the Shelby County High Hopes Extension Homemakers Club. Survivors include four daughters Donna (Leslie) Ramey of Hagerstown, Delma (John) Brown of Falmouth, Diana (Francis) Robinson of Shelbyville, and Deola (David) Robinson of Florida; four sons Darrel (Marjorie) Briar of Cambridge City, Duane (Linda) Briar of Markleville, Douglas (Deborah) Briar of Lewisville and Darvin Briar of Milton; 26 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sister-in-laws Gertrude Wissler and Betty Feasleman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Briar in 1995; her parents, a great-grandson; and two brothers Dwight Wissler and William Wissler. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, March 25, 2011 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City with Pastor Paula Ulrich officiating. Burial will follow in Brick Cemetery in Hagerstown.
