Lorena Holliday, 81, of Inverness, FL and formerly of Cambridge City, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home. She was born on November 2, 1933 in Island Creek, KY to Justice P. and Sally (Rogers) Martin.
Lorena grew up in Elrod, IN, then lived in Cambridge City from 1959 until 1977 and retired to Florida from Brownsville. She was a Baptist by faith. Lorena loved caring for and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Troy Holliday; a son, Dan (Julie) Holliday; a daughter, Dianne Holliday; 4 grandchildren, Justin Holliday, Jonathan Holliday, Wayne Todd and Josh Detwiler; a great-granddaughter, Alaina Todd; a sister, Margie (Ralph) Morris; numerous nieces, nephews, great & great great nieces and nephews.
Lorena was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Bertha Robinson, Abbie Sawyer, Bessie Frost, Lewis Martin, Mary Welch, Saul Martin and Viola Transier; a grandson, Jason Holliday.
Friends may call from 11:00 am until the start of services at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Pastor Ralph Morris will be officiating. Burial will take place in Westside Cemetery in Milton.
