Lois Joan (Wright) Simpson

Lois Joan Simpson, 92, of Milton, Indiana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her residence after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease.

She was born in Connersville, In on April 23, 1928 to Clifford G. and Mildred M. Nelson Wright and had lived in Fayette and Wayne Counties all of her life. She graduated from Alquina High School with the class of 1946. She married Dale F. Simpson on November 23, 1954..

She was a charter member of the Happy Homemakers Home Economics Club in Fayette County. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook and baker. She spent most of her life helping on the family farm and was a farmer at heart. She enjoyed working outdoors in her flowers, garden and mowing the yard.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Dale F. Simpson; sister Linda Wright and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may gather at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm. There will be a private funeral with burial to follow in Valley Grove Cemetery.
