Kenneth A. Cate

Kenneth A Cate, 76, of Cambridge City passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Reid Hospital & Healthcare Services.

He was born on March 13, 1939 in Fayette County to Allen J. and Annie Louise Harvey Cate and was a 1957 graduate of Straughn High School. Kenny retired after 34 years from the National Guard and as a tool and die maker from MEG Corporation in Cambridge City. He loved his white faced cows, sports and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years Judith Matney Cate; a son Michael D. (Jamie) Cate of Dublin; two grandchildren Hannah and Zane Cate; a brother Jack (Pat) Cate; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Todd Allen Cate; and two sisters Mary Ellen Baker and Rita Smith.

Friends may gather at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:30 am for graveside services conducted by Rev. Gordon Mehaffey. There will be no public visitation.

Arrangements are being handled by Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Riley Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis or a favorite charity.
