Karen L. (Schenkel) McFarland

Karen L. McFarland, 75, of Milton passed away on Friday January 3, 2025 at her family home. She was born on March 29, 1949 in New Castle to L. Eugene and B. Beth (Jones) Schenkel and lived her whole life in this area. Karen graduated from Connersville High School in 1967. Karen was a care giver and took care of her great-aunt Nora, grandma Jones and then her parents until their passing. She had a huge heart and compassion for others and will be greatly missed.

Karen is survived by her husband of 32 years, Steve McFarland; two children John Eric (Shawn) Jennings and Amy (Tim) Parks; 6 grandchildren, Casey, Katey, Tyler, Travis, Trevor and Tanner;

3 great grandchildren Emilia, Murphy and Lennon; a sister, Kristy (Floyd) Piles; and her nephew, Scott (Angie) Schenkel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Karla Ambercrombie.

A gathering to celebrate Karen’s life will be held at a later date.
