Joyce E. (Krebs) Walther

Joyce E. Walther, 71 of Cambridge City, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. She was born on November 9, 1950 in Hamilton, Ohio to Paul and Ruth (Sander) Krebs and graduated in 1968 from Talawanda High School in Oxford, Ohio. She had lived most of her life in the Wayne county area. Joyce was a member of Zion’s Lutheran Church for over 45 years and served in many ways. She was active in Girl Scouts for over 20 years and enjoyed cross-stitching.

Joyce is survived by her children, Carol (Corrine Wickens) Walther, Paul (Julie) Walther, Marjory (Darren) Robertson, Sarah (Chad) Dyer and Rachel (Robby) Klein; nine grandchildren, Brittany Walther, Robert Walther, Seth Wickens-Walther, Ian Wickens-Walther, Tim Robertson, Ben Robertson, Olivia Dyer, Grant Dyer and Connor Dyer; sister, Ann (Jack) Killian; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert N. Walther on December 2, 2011; and a sister, Karen Stevens.

Friends may call from 4 until 7 PM on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. The funeral service will be at 10 AM with calling starting at 9:30 AM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Zion’s Lutheran Church, 1151 S. Germantown Rd., Pershing, Indiana. Interment will follow at Zion’s Cemetery.
