James W. Leverton, 73, of Connersville, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Caroleton Manor in Connersville. He was born on February 12, 1944 in New Castle to Dale W. and Alice Jean (Kinnaman) Leverton and lived here all his life. Jim was a 1962 graduate of Milton High School. He was very proud of the time he served as a Deputy Sheriff for Fayette County, he later worked as a supervisor at Visteon before retiring. He was a member of Milton Lodge #108 F & AM.
Jim is survived by his six children, Tony (Caryn Stinson) Dulaney, Rhonda (Charlie) Bartlett, Jennifer (Randy) Sperry, Denise Watterson, Angela (Scott Siebert) Leverton and Shaun (Courtney) Leverton; Twenty-two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Stewart; two brothers, Steve and Jack Leverton; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11 am at Franklin Cemetery Pennville Rd. (2 ½ miles south of US 40) in Milton, Indiana with Chaplain Brad Smith officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City.
