James "Matt" Duffin

James Matthew Duffin, “Matt”, the ol’ Milton boy was born on April 24, 1960 in Richmond, IN hit his final home run on Tuesday September 2, 2025. Matt passed away at his daughter’s house surrounded by his family.

Matt lived a full life. Serving our country for 6 years in the USN, keeping everyone sharp on any sports statistics, active in the Brain Injury world after his TBI 17 years ago, hosted Brain Injury Network and Brain Mechanics the TV show. When he wasn’t advocating, he was spending time with his family being a beloved father and Dupa.

Matt was preceded in death by his father and mother, Woodrow & Georgetta (Thalls) Duffin.

Matt is survived by his three daughters, Mercadi (Andy Shepler) Duffin, Cassi Boulware and Jordan Duffin; his grandson, Aleister Duffin; his sisters, Marsha (Dick) Powell and Margo Williams; and his brothers, Woody (Barbara) Duffin and John Duffin.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the start of the funeral at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City and burial will follow at Westside Cemetery in Milton.
