Helen L. Hammond, 92, of Richmond passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Ambassador Health Care in Centerville.
She was born on July 21, 1926 in Dayton, OH to Bernard and Mattie Rexroat Jamison. She was a graduate of Richmond High School. Helen enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing euchre. She belonged to 3 euchre clubs and was a member of Milton Methodist Church.
Survivors include 3 daughters Cheryl Crooks, Kitty Mohler, and Pam (Brian) Greene; 8 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Walter “Gene” Hammond in 2003; son Ronald G. Hunt; brothers Bernard “Bud” and Fred Jamison; and sister Betty Patton.
Private services were held at the family’s convenience in Riverside Cemetery with Max Milton officiating.
