Gregory L. Diehlman

Greg (Heavy) L. Diehlman, 58, of Pershing, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Reid Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1960 in New Castle and his parents were William and Gloria (Jefferies) Diehlman. He grew up in Connersville and graduated from Connersville H.S. in 1978. After high school he received his Associates degree from Vincennes University, then his Bachelors degree from Texas A & M at Corpus Christi and finally his Masters degree in Criminology from Kaplan University.

Greg loved playing baseball and was a pitcher. He loved IU basketball and Bobby Knight. Greg was a fan of the Reds, Bengals and Pacers. Greg enjoyed time outdoors. He always looked out for his sisters and brother and he loved his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his 3 siblings, Sherri Hidy, Robin (Stephen) Palmer and Alan (Kathleen) Diehlman; nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Bob & Sylvia Pace.

Friends may gather at 10 am on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Zions Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing for a graveside service. Pastor John Reynolds will be officiating.
