Frances Marie (Johnson) Ballard

On April 07, 1930 she married Jackson (Jack) Edgar Ballard, to whom she was married 52 years. The lived most of their married life in the Wayne County Area. After her husbands death in April 1982, she moved to Mason City, IL.

She was the loving mother to Russell (Brenda) Ballard of San Jose, IL, Carl Ballard, Luella Willis, Thelma (Robert) Keihn, of Mason City, IL, Barbara McCutchan, Pasadena, CA, Faye (John) Monroe, Winchester, IN, Helen Black and Patricia Adkins, Cambridge City, IN. Frances had 22 grandchildren, 38 Great-grandchildren, 37 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Everett and Howard Johnson, sister Ethel Platt, a brother and sister in their infancy, husband and sons Jackie Eugene, George Edwin, Robert Allen, Freddie Morris in their infancy. Also son-in-laws Russell Willis Sr. 1/84, Johnie Guy Black 8/05, Glen McCutchan 11/09, and James Carl DeCanter 4/10, grandson Christopher Helmsing 12/82, and a great-great-grandson Andrew Wade Shank 7/92.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, from noon till time of service at 2pm at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel, 1010 East Main Street. Cambridge City, IN with Pastor Gary Sellers officiating. Burial will be at Willow Grove Cemetery, Fountain City, IN. In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions be made to Christopher Helmsing Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Wayne Bank & Trust, 145 W. Main Street, Cambridge City, IN 47327 or Mason City Area Nursing Home, 520 N. Price Street, Mason City, IL 62664.
