Evan M. Jennings, 92, formerly of Cambridge City passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond, IN.
He was born on April 1, 1926 in Fountain City to William J. and Edith I Tharp Jennings and graduated from Economy High School in 1944. He was a WWII U. S. Army veteran serving in the southwest Pacific. Evan was a member of Milton Christian Church, Leroy Tout American Legion Post #338 where he served on the honor guard.
Survivors include a son Skip (Evey) Jennings; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; dauther-in-law Kathy Jennings; son-in-law Jim Robinson; sister-in-law Geneva Davis; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Stella M. Jennings; children Sarah Jane Robinson and William “JB” John Jennings; a great-granddaughter Kaitlynne Jennings; 4 brothers Kenneth, John E., Melvin and Morris; a sister Marjorie Fouts.
Friends may gather from 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 8, 2018 until start of services at 2:00 pm at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Pastor Matt Smith will be officiating.
