Earl Limburg Obituary

Earl J. Limburg, 79, of Hagerstown, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Reid Hospital. He was born on September 26, 1943 in Hagerstown to John and Bertha (Thomas) Limburg. Earl was a 1961 graduate of Hagerstown High School and then served his country in the U.S. Army. When he came home from the service he went to work at Chrysler in New Castle until he retired on December 31, 1997. Earl enjoyed owning and driving stock cars at many local tracks and loved NASCAR. He and Barbara enjoyed camping and spent many summers at Doc O Lake Campground. He truly loved his entire family!

 

Earl is survived by his wife, Barbara (Hollars) Limburg, whom he married on April 6, 1991; his children, Randall (Karen) Limburg, James (April) Limburg, Karen (Don) Heaslip and Kelly (Billy) Werner; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Limburg, Alexander Limburg, Alysun Limburg, Sydny Gunder, Drake Gunder, Aaron Limburg, Whitney Greer, Ashley Nicholson, Lindsey Dale, Kevin Glunt and Brandon Glunt; 7 great-grandchildren and 5 sisters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, John Moore; wife Nila Jean; son, David Rigney; grandson, Joshua Bowlin and a brother.

 

Earl’s family will be celebrating his life and love for his family on Father’s Day.
