Donna B. Rodenburg, 93, of Cambridge City passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Springs of Richmond. She was born on July 13, 1924 in Fountain City, IN, one of 15 children of Joseph W. and Osie Mae Hiatt Darrah and attended schools in Fountain City, Boston and Brownsville, IN. On November 28, 1942 she was married to Walter R. Rodenburg of Brownsville.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Janet M. (Lendle) Hamilton, Linda L. Kaiser and Norma J. (Dr. James R.) Bertsch; 10 grandchildren, Mark Cox, Steve (Laura) Cox,Bryon (Kelly) Cox, Lori Haskett, Kem Haskett, Scott Haskett, Robert (Nicole) Kaiser,Kevin (Sherri) Bertsch, Rodney Bertsch and Daryl (Stacey) Bertsch; a brother Roy Darrah; several great and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Rodenburg; brothers Cecil Trent, Frank, William, Rollie, Robert and Leonard Darrah; sisters Mary Ridge, Martha McCallister, Ruth Anderson, Ruby York, Veva Mikesell, Barbara Fields and Erma Singleton; a great-granddaughter Chole Bertsch.
Friends may gather at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 10:00 am until start of services at 12:00 noon with Rev. Gordon Mehaffey officiating. Burial will follow in Abington Cemetery in Abington, IN.
