Charles V. Meyer

Charles V. Meyer, 85, of Cambridge City passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 at his son's residence in Ligonier, IN.

He was born on April 23, 1930 in Cambridge City to Joseph E. and Mary M Pelzel Meyer and had lived most of his life in the area. After school in Cambridge City he served in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He had worked at Penn Railroad for 11 years and retired as a machine operator from Dana Corp. in Hagerstown. He was a member of the Dana 25 year club.

Survivors include a son Steven (his wife Melody) Meyer, Judith (her husband Jeff) Stuart and Peggy Lee Meyer; grandchildren Julie and Rebecca Meyer, Brandon and Derek Riggs, Courtney and Chandler Stuart, Shane Couch, Dava (her husband Brandon) Dale and Wesley Couch; great grandchildren Cedderek and Kaylee Riggs; sister Marlene Brown; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Wilma J. Meyer; daughter Nancy Lynn Meyer; siblings Mary Gethers, Kathryn Pass, Irene Davis, Arthur, Joseph and Robert Meyer;

Friends may gather from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, IN. A funeral mass will follow at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 6,2015 at St. Elizabeth Catholc Church in Cambridge City with Father Joe Rautenberg officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
