Charles S. Hartsock

Charles S. Hartsock, 86, of Cambridge City, passed away on Thursday September 17, 2015 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. He was born on April 23, 1929 in Owsley County, Kentucky to Walker and Cynthia (Hale) Hartsock. He married Darlene Strong on April 22, 1950 and then moved to the Bentonville community in September, 1950. Charles was a farmer and worked at Philco-Ford for over 32 years before retiring in the early 80's. He served as trustee for the IUE # 919 for over 20 years.

He was a 55 year member and 4 time Past Master of Milton Lodge #108 F & AM, an honorary member of Cambridge #5, a member of Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.

He is survived by his children, Loretta (Allen) McDonald and Eddie (Delora) Hartsock; grandchildren, Dewight (Lisa) McDonald, Jennifer (Shane) Baldwin and Rachel Hartsock; great-grandchildren, Joe & Jon McDonald, Emily & Alexis Baldwin and Colin Williams; brothers, Fred, Frank, Don (JoAnn) and George (Myrtle) Hartsock; nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Darlene on April 14, 2012; his parents; sisters, Martha Emily and Reba Lou Hartsock.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, with calling one hour prior, on Monday September 21, 2015 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 until 7:00 PM and Milton Lodge # 108 F & AM will conduct a Masonic service at 7:00 PM on Sunday September 20, 2015. Interment will be at Westside Cemetery in Milton.
