Betty J. (Threadgill) Sorah

Betty J. Sorah, 82, of Cambridge City, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Reid Hospital. She was born in Alma, Arkansas on June 14, 1940 to William and Oma (Staton) Threadgill. Betty grew up in a family of nine children in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and graduated from high school in 1958. She met her future husband, Billie W. Sorah who was in the Army and stationed at Ft. Chaffee Arkansas. They married on August 30, 1963 and moved to Cambridge City in 1964. Betty worked at Stop One Truck Plaza for over 30 years and was the general manager when she retired, after that she worked at Walmart in Connersville for 15 years until retiring in 2021.

Betty is survived by her son Steven (Shera) Sorah; two grandsons, Presley and Vincent Sorah; a brother and sisters; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Billie W. Sorah on February 17, 2013.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family and burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
