Betty Johnson Obituary
Betty Jane Johnson, 89, of Dublin, IN passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Henry County Hospital.
She was born on May 20, 1924 in Mt. Auburn to Cecil O. and Hazel Sturgis Baker and had lived all her life in the area. She was a 1942 graduate of Lincoln High School, 1st Baptist Church of Cambridge City and was a member of Christian Builders Association. Betty enjoyed playing cards at the Western Wayne Senior Center at the Golay Community Center.
Survivors include 3 sons Kent (Susan) Johnson of Portland, OR, Neal (Vickie) Johnson of Hastings, MI, and Dennis (Diane) Johnson of Brunswick, GA; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, of 59 years, William “Bud” Johnson on October 18, 2004; a brother and 3 sisters.
Graveside services will be on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM, at Southlawn Cemetery in Dublin. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are being conducted by Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City.
