Barbara J. Dillman, 86, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday October 24, 2024 at Reid Hospital. She was born on March 26, 1938, in Monterey, Tennessee, to John C. and Artie Mae (Walker) Willis.
Barbara and her family moved to Milton, Indiana in 1953 and she was a 1956 graduate of Milton High School. On September 7, 1957 she married James I. Dillman and together they raised there family and lived in this area the rest of their lives. She was a longtime member of Sugar Grove Church and last attended Greens Fork United Methodist Church. For many years she worked as a doctor’s assistant in Optometry.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Greg (Carrie) Dillman and Bryan (Sandra) Dillman; three grandchildren, Matthew (LaDawna) Dillman, Michelle (Christopher) Little and Brad Dillman;
three great grandchildren, Katherine Dillman, Jace Little and Elliotte Little; a brother, Coy Willis; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James I. Dillman on December 16, 2011; her sister Dimple Gilpatrick and a brother, Harold Willis.
Friends may call from 10 AM until the start of the funeral service at11 AM on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel. Immediately following the funeral, her family will have a private burial at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Greens Fork, Indiana.
