Artie Brown Obituary

Artie F. Brown, 91, of Milton, entered her eternal life on June 18, 2020 at The Springs in Richmond, IN. She was born on October 13, 1928 to Ernest and Evelyn (Buhl) Cate in Roane County, Kingston, TN. She married Allen T. “Brownie” Brown on September 12, 1947. Artie served the United States Postal Service for 40 years, retiring as Postmaster in the Milton, IN Post Office. She didn’t know a stranger and loved her job with the public. Artie and Allen loved their family and made them the center of their lives.

 

Artie is survived by her daughter, Linda (Byron) Kinsinger; three grandchildren, Danny Hall, Jason (Pam) Hall and Leslie (Travis) Steele; six great-grandchildren, Lacy, Haley, Hannah and Zach Hall & Sidney and Morgan Steele; a great-great-grandaughter, Brinley Steele.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen on March 3, 2013 and her sister, Delores Whitton.

 

The family wants to especially thank the entire staff at The Springs of Richmond Assisted Living for the love, help and care they provided. Thanks also to AseraCare Hospice for helping Artie in her last days.

 

A private service is planned at the convenience of her family.
