Ann K Cutshaw, 85, of Cambridge City, passed away Monday, November 4, at Vitas Healthcare in Melbourne, FL.
Ann was born in Anderson, IN on April 3, 1939, to George and Francis Davis. She graduated from Anderson High School and Indiana University. She married John Cutshaw Jr. in February of 1961. She taught Business Education and English for many years. She also subbed for several years at Lincoln High School before working at her husband’s law office, Roger Greene’s Insurance office, and Memories Hallmark.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for many years and attended the Cambridge City Christian Church as well. She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi sorority, Red Hat Club, served on the Riverside Cemetery board, Library Board, and Golay Community Center Board. She continued to work at the law firm until she moved to Florida a year and a half ago.
She enjoyed all of her jobs and clubs but found the most joy in spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger as she had the unique ability to make a friend any where she was, even on the airplane.
She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1998 and many beloved relatives and friends. Survivors include: one brother, Tom Davis (Sandy) of Farmington, MI; two daughters, Linda Gabeler (Tom) of Palm Bay, FL and Nancy Hook (Dave) of Melbourne, FL; six grandchildren, Chelsea (Curtis), David, Nicole (McLean), John, Lisa, Michelle; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
A service will be held in Melbourne, FL on Monday, November 11 at 3:00 pm at Ammen Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15 from 4:30-6:30 pm at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, IN. Her funeral will be on Saturday, November 16 at 11:00 am at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, IN. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
