Alice J (Morse) Moore

Alice J. Moore, 81, of Pershing passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. She was born on December 19, 1932 in Western Wayne County to Floyd E. and Lena Mae (Smith) Morse. She attended Lincoln H.S. and lived most of her life in this area. Alice was a waitress and manager at Tradewinds Truck Stop in Richmond for several years. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, listening to country music and spending time with her grandkids.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Ramona Taber and Mary Ellen (son-in-law, Sandy) Richards of Pershing; grandchildren, Gary Taber, Melissa Taber, Elizabeth Richards (fiance', Bradley Knoblock), Olivia Richards and Betsy Richards all of Pershing; sister and brother-in-law, Jane & Ronnie Turner; many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary D. Moore; daughter, Jennifer Clark; brothers, Robert, Rex, Conrad, Bruce, Thomas and David Morse; sisters, Peggy Heaston, Bonnie Rhoades, Charlotte Sweigart and Nina Brown.

Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 with Danny Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
