Ada Allene Manlove, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, in Cape Coral, Florida. Born on October 20, 1937, in Richmond, Indiana, Ada graced this world for 88 years with her kindness and commitment to her family and community.
A long-time resident of both Wayne County, Indiana, and Lee County, Florida, Ada dedicated much of her professional life to helping others find homes. As a respected real estate broker, she served her communities with integrity and passion, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working with her. She was a proud member of the National Association of Realtors, where she built lifelong friendships and connections.
Ada is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Ruth Toney; her cherished son, Jonathan Scott Whalen; her dear sister, Mary Agnes Little; and her beloved brother, William Beard.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Lowell Manlove of Fort Myers, FL; her daughter, Sara Elizabeth Whalen of Austin, TX; her stepdaughter, Cynthia Ann (Lyndon) Wicker, Dublin, IN; stepsons Doug (Paula) Manlove, Maryville, TN; and David (Beth) Manlove, Milton, IN. Ada will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends who brought joy to her life.
Services to honor and celebrate Ada's life will be held at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, Indiana, on June 27, 2026. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by graveside services.
In lieu of flowers family asked for donations to be made in Ada’s name to the Bentonville Cemetery, Bentonville, Indiana.
