Willis E. Murray, 92, of Cambridge City passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Reid Health Care.


He was born on February 1, 1926 in Cambridge City to Clark and Mary Mason Murray and had lived all his life in the area.


He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Willis worked for nearly 30 years in quality control at Dana Corporation and farmed his whole life. He was a member of Leroy Tout American Legion Post and served on the honor guard. He was also a longtime member of Gideon International.


Survivors include his wife of 72 years Dorothy A. (Kellam) Murray; children Annette (Chuck) Childress and Michael (Diana) Murray; 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City with Danny Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Zion’s Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.


Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s International, Golay Community Center or Leroy Tout American Legion Post.
