Lala Pauline “Polly” Snyder, 99, a lifelong resident of Cambridge City, passed away on May 8, 2018 at Arbor Trace in Richmond surrounded by her family and friend. She was born on May 25, 1918 in JenkinsJones, West Virginia to John Wesley and Sarah Love Ethel (Randolph) Meadows. She will be reunited with her family in heaven for her 100th birthday.

Polly is survived by her nieces and nephews  Cheri (Steve) Ramey, Lynn (Steve) Mahoney, Missy (Al) Williams, Mike (Sudie) Meadows , Steve (Maureen) Boyd, Teri (Ray) Brumfiel, Gina (Mike) Meadows, David (Bambi) Boyd, and her very dear friend Pat (Duane) Rea.

Polly was preceded in death by her husband R.J. (George) Snyder, her parents and siblings, John Jr., Sylvan, Verlin, Freeman, Robert, Betty Christine, Harold, Melba and 2 stillborn siblings.

Aunt Polly was a special aunt to the families of her sisters and brothers throughout her lifetime. Although she had no children of her own she was a member of our families and was with us through our lives while growing up as a mentor, and a role model of how families are always there for each other.

At her request, a private graveside service will be held at the Jacksonburg Christian Church cemetery.

Polly and RJ lived behind us when we were small children. You could not have asked for nicer people - they treated us like we were their grandchildren and always so kind and patient. Through the years, Polly was just as gracious, kind, and loving - qualities I always admired! My heart goes out to her family, and I hope her stories and memories live on!!
