Jay Allen Yoder, Jr., 56, of Cambridge City passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Reid Health in Richmond.


He was born on June 21, 1960 in Richmond to Jay Allen Sr. and Barbara Jean Witter Yoder and was a 1979 graduate of Richmond High School. He was a building contractor and member of NRA, Beekeepers Association and was a member, deacon and trustee at Milton Christian Church. He was an avid hunter and gun rights advocate.


Survivors include his wife Frances J. Yoder, they have been together for 3 years; children Britney (James) Ward, Casie Yoder, Thera (Matt) Logston, Heather (Quinton) Lohmoeller and Austin Moore; grandchildren Bailee, Cameron, Malachi, Na'Kya, Elijah and Isaiah; sisters Mary (Charlie) Pierce and Debbie Morris; God parents Caroline and Slu Lanman; uncle Herschel Yoder; mother-in-law Sallie Caldwell; sister-in-law Misty (J. D.) Archer and brother-in-law Tim (Laura) Caldwell; nieces nephews and cousins.


Including his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law John D. Morris and an aunt Sue Yoder.


Friends may call at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm and at the Milton Christian Church on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 10:00 am until start of services at 10:30 am. Scott Moistner will be officiating and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery in Dublin.


Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the Milton Christian Church.
