Rosie P. (Huffman) Rybolt

Rosie P. Rybolt, 96, of Cambridge City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday January 2, 2024 at Reid Hospital. She was born on July 24, 1927, in South Charleston, Ohio to Lee and Bertha (Spangler) Huffman. Rosie lived most of her life in Indiana. She graduated from Bentonville High School in 1945, married Leo E Rybolt on July 10, 1946 and together started their family in Cambridge City.

Rosie was a lifelong caregiver. She baby sat for many years and eventually had so many children to care for that the State required her to become licensed. She and Leo owned and operated Leo's Market on Church St. for several years. Rosie was Cambridge City’s pie maker and she sold pies during Canal Days at a booth in front of Rose’s and Rainbows. In 2021, she was the first Canal Days Senior Queen. Rosie was a long time member of First Baptist Church.

Rosie is survived by her daughters, Becki (Jack) Jarvis, Linda Coddington and Jeannie Watson; five grandchildren, Randy Jarvis, Scott (Kimberly) Jarvis, Emily Jarvis, Shelly Flynn and Hailey (Brandon Ross) Watson; and four great-grandchildren, Tara Jarvis, Brody Jarvis, Hanna Flynn and Bentley Ross.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Leo E. Rybolt on December 8, 2012; her son, Donny Rybolt, grandson, Jamie Neil Coddington; son-in-law, Dana Coddington: three sisters and five brothers.

Friends may call from 10 AM until the start of the funeral service at 1 PM on Saturday January 6, 2024 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel and interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery both in Cambridge City, IN.
