Janet Lee Sebring, age 84, passed away peacefully November 23, 2023. She was born in Wayne, Michigan on July 11, 1939 to William Tyler, Sr. and Ida Lee (Waugh) Tyler. Janet was a 1957 graduate of Lincoln High School and she married her high school sweetheart, Phillip Earl Sebring on November 21, 1959.
Phil and Janet lived in Milton, Indiana for 39 years and moved to Ocala, Florida in 1998. They moved back to Indiana in December 2022.
Janet loved having family around her. She loved shopping, cooking and going to the park to feed the squirrels. Her last year, she couldn’t wait to get up and go to the orchard and feed the animals or to the park to feed the squirrels. She will be remembered for baking the best cowboy cookies.
Janet is survived by her husband of 64 years, Phillip Sebring; her son, Mike (Sheila) Sebring and their children, Steve, Kyle and Courtney Sebring; her daughter Lori (Pete Bell) Jordan and their children, Heather Hunt, Heidi Sizemore and Ryan Jordan; 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren;
her brother, William (Diane) Tyler, Jr.; and her nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal Sebring.
Friends may call from from 12 noon until the start of her funeral at 1 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, Indiana.
