Robert L. Linginfelter, age 89, of Dublin, IN passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 at his residence.
He was born in Connersville, In on December 17, 1920 to Isaac R. and Martha Cartright Linginfelter and had lived most of his life in the area.
He was a 1938 graduate of Lincoln High School. He was the owner operator of Acme Patterns in Richmond, IN. Bob enjoyed his family, traveling and camping. He was an adventurer. During the depression he worked his way through college at Tri-State University in Angola studying engineering. He quit college to enter the U.S. Marines during WWII.
Survivors include his wife Ruby J. Chew Linginfelter whom he married on December 15, 1950; children Daniel (Dee) Linginfelter of Indianapolis, Bruce (Mary Lee) Linginfelter of Richmond, Karla (Tom) Cubbison of Plano, TX, Clay Linginfelter of Dublin and James Linginfelter of Indianapolis; six grandchildren Anne, Sara, Joe, Emily,and Claire Linginfelter and Laura Cubbison; a sister Lois (Malcolm) Laymon of Anderson
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronald Linginfelter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City with Stan Banker of First Friends of Indianapolis officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery in Dublin. Military graveside services will be by Lawrence H. Bertsch American Legion Post #169. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
